Colombian pay TV channel Win Sports announced that it will not charge July monthly subscription for Win Sports+, its new premium option launched last January. The channel reported that, although protocols to resume the Professional Football League in Colombia have already been presented, it has decided not to charge the coming month subscription, until an exact date for the return of professional football is reported in the country.
‘This decision will be implemented, both for current subscribers and for new ones, even if the Government decides to reactivate the Betplay Dimayor 2020 League -name under which the Professional Football League in Colombia is known-, during July. Likewise, Win Sports reported that different TV operators have been informed about the initiative, and will not charge Win Sports+ monthly subscription to current subscribers. Similarly, new customers will have the possibility to enable the new premium channel for free.
‘Since March, we have been making a number of decisions in order to provide relief to our subscribers and, of course, July will not be an exception. We will continue our commitment and efforts in providing our customers with high-quality entertainment at a very difficult time, and in which many of our subscribers are looking forward to the resuming of professional football in Colombia’, said Jaime Parada, President at Win Sports.
