Chilean pay TV operator VTR (Liberty Latin America) has announced this last Wednesday, March 3rd, the launch of VTR+ (VTR Plus), defined by the company as a new on demand TV initiative, with a selection of content from various brands, to which the company’s customers will be able to access for the same value in all digital TV plans.
Through the VTR+ platform, VTR clients will access 29 folders, where they will find a distributed content catalog consisting of HBO sagas and series; Spanish series, Hollywood films, Chilean films and series, cartoons from channels such as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network; and others.
‘The key point of VTR+ is that VTR clients can access a quality selection of the best content, categorized by common attributes, similar to the lists found in music apps, thus adapting the platform so that users find what they are looking for in a more intuitive and easy way’, reported Cristian Novoa, VTR’s Content and Advertising Manager. ‘We want customers to be able to more easily access the most relevant brands and content on the market’, added the executive.
As reported by VTR, access to VTR+ must be done by clicking on the yellow ‘VOD’ button available on the VTR remote control, in order to access the 29 folders with the VTR+ catalog. In addition to VTR’s digital TV packages, the platform is now available on the VTR Play app, and will allow access to series and movies from mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones.
