ViacomCBS resumes fiction production plans in Argentina

Viacom International Studios (ViacomCBS) announced that it will resume its fiction content production plans in Argentina, with ‘El primero de nosotros’, new VIS fiction series, whose premiere is scheduled for the first half of this year on the Argentine FTA channel Telefe.

According to the information reported by VIS, ‘El primero de nosotros’ wil be starred by Argentine actors Paola Krum, Luciano Castro, Jorgelina Aruzzi, Damian de Santo and Mercedes Funes, and Chilean Benjamin Vicuña. The plot of the series will focus on the story of a group of friends, which will drastically change after they find out that Santiago, one of them, suffers from a terminal illness. News shocks all of them, and the proximity to death mobilizes very quiet desires in the group. Love and union that comes from them will fill the time of a path  with an announced end with life and meaning.

The announcement of the new Telefe production comes after several countries have resumed their plans to produce fiction content in Latin America. Apart from that, in the case of ViacomCBS, the company launched Paramount+ in early March in the region, with more than 5 thousand hours of content, including Showtime titles, Paramount+  and CBS Television Studios original series, and films from Paramount Pictures. The platform also brings together local content and productions from various ViacomCBS brands, such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and even Telefe.
