As announced days ago, ViacomCBS is launching its SVOD OTT Paramount+ in Latin America today, with more than 5 thousand hours of content, which will include a catalog of Showtime titles, together with Paramount+ original series, CBS Television Studios and Paramount Pictures films. The platform will also bring together local content and productions from ViacomCBS brands such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Telefe.

Those who subscribe to Paramount+ will be able to access a seven-day free trial, and then pay a monthly subscription, whose value is set in Mexico at MXN$ 79; in Argentina at AR$ 299; in Brazil at R$ 19.90; in Chile at CLP$ 3,199; in Colombia at COP$ 13,900; in Peru at PEN$ 14.90; in Bolivia at BS$ 34,400; in Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador and Panama at USD 4.99; in Paraguay at PYG$ 28,900 and in Uruguay at UYU$ 159. In all cases, the subscription will cost between USD 3 and USD 4.
Access to Paramount+ can be done through its web version (paramountplus.com), as well as through the app, available for iOS and Android devices. Days ago, ViacomCBS announced several distribution partners for the platform, including Apple, Amazon Prime Video Channels in Mexico and Brazil; Claro Video; MercadoLibre; Izzi (Televisa); Megacable; TotalPlay; Claro Brazil (America Mpvil); Vivo (Telefonica); Incomm; Incomm and Dish.
As part of the Paramount+ launch, until April 4th, Pluto TV -launched in Latin America and Brazil last year-, will include a channel called ‘Paramount + Presenta’, which will gather selected episodes of original Paramount+ content, offering users a preview of the entertainment catalog available on the platform. In addition, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Network and Telefe will welcome Paramount+ with special programming, in which previews and roadblocks of original Paramount+ programs will be premiered.
