Viacom International Studios (VIS) and Amazon Prime Video announced they started to produce the next edition of the reality show Ex on the Beach Brazil: Celebrities in Brazilian city Trancoso. The show will have 12 60-minutes episodes and will be watched through MTV and Amazon Prime Video at the end of the year.
The reality will show 12 celebrities while trying to find love on vacation, although they must face their ex, who will appear one by one on the island where they are.

I am very proud to work with Amazon Prime Video and add even more excitement to this special edition made in Brazil with local celebrities’, said Tiago Worcman, SVP of MTV in Latin America. Federico Cuervo, SVP and Director at VIS, also expressed himself on the reality: “It is a pleasure to continue developing and producing high quality content for streaming services such as Prime Video, and, at the same time. continue to position ourselves as the leading development and production studio with content to distribute worldwide’, he said.
Pablo Iacoviello, Head of Content at Amazon Prime Video for Latin America, said that Ex on the Beach “is a great series, which added followers in all the places where it was launched, and we are very excited to see our clients joining this group of fans when the series will premiere on Prime Video later this year’.
Since its launch in 2014, Ex on the Beach has become MTV International’s program with the largest number of adaptations. 15 versions have been made in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Russia and Hungary, both through local MTV screens and local broadcasters versions.
