TV Media Sport (TVMS), the long-time free-to-air media rights partner of World Athletics in sub-Saharan Africa and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation announced KBC as the official and exclusive free-to-air broadcast partner for all Events part of the World Athletics Series in 2022 and 2023 in Kenya.
Hédi Hamel, President of TVMS, commented on the partnership saying: “The World Athletics Series gather the best athletes in the world competing for the ultimate World Champion title. We are absolutely delighted to see that the performances of Kenyan athletes participating to a Worlds Athletics Series event will be shown for free on public television in Kenya”.
On the other hand, Dr. Naim Bilal, KBC’s Managing Director, also expressed his excitement saying: “Athletics is the number one sports in Kenya and KBC will certainly provide pride to fans by offering extended live coverage of all these world class Events. It is exciting and a great honour to be awarded the exclusive World Athletics Series free to air media rights Championships in Kenya for the upcoming 2022 and 2023 seasons”.
