TV Plus, Samsung’s AVOD OTT, launches web version in the US and begins to make its offer available for the company’s non-customers

According to information recently reported on the specialized website Protocol, the South Korean multinational company Samsung launched the web version of its AVOD OTT Samsung TV Plus, thus expanding the ways to access the platform, which, at first, was only available for the company’s clients. The new feature is available only in the US, and, up to now, no Samsung executive has expressed himself on this news.

The platform’s arrival at Latin America took place at the end of 2020, when it was launched on Samsung smart TVs in Brazil. Later, during the first days of this year, Samsung made its  platform available in Mexico, being, up to now, the first two markets in the region where the AVOD OTT is available.

The launch of Samsung TV Plus in Brazil and Mexico confirms the international expansion of the platform, now also available in the US, Canada, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Holland, England, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, India and Korea.
