TV Azteca’s pay TV channels are now available for Tigo’s clients in Panama

Telecommunications company Tigo (Millicom International Cellular SA) has announced a new agreement with TV Azteca (Grupo Salinas), through which channels TV Azteca Mundo, TV Azteca Corazon, Clic and TV Azteca Cinema are now part of the company’s catalog in Panama. The agreement came into effect this last Thursday, July 1st.

According to the terms of the agreement, the four TV Azteca’s channels are already available in HD resolution on channels 1448; 1449; 1451 and 1248, respectively.

‘Mundo is known for its family entertainment offer. Corazon hosts the best TV Azteca’s soap operas. Clic shows the best of egames, lifestyle and trends, while Cinema offers the most complete collection of the golden age of classic Mexican cinema’, reported Jorge Gutierrez,  International Sales Director at TV Azteca.

Regarding the Panamanian market, the executive said that ‘it has always been a very important market, always ready for good content’. Likewise, regarding the partnership with TV Azteca’s channels, Gutierrez stated that the Mexican company is ‘sure that all Tigo subscribers in Panama will enjoy all the offer and quality of our channel’s portfolio’.

‘We continue to feed the most competitive content supermarket in the country with platforms and channels that, we know, will meet the tastes and expectations of the Panamanian audience. Our users will continue to receive innovation and the greatest number of options to enjoy at home or from any device through Tigo Play. Our challenge is to continue innovating the way we consume TV through content offers and innovative platforms, all aligned with the way of life of our community’, reported Manuel Garcia, Marketing Executive Director at Tigo Panama.

The partnership between TV Azteca and Tigo Panama takes place after, at the end of March, the channels Clic, TV Azteca Mundo, TV Azteca Corazon and TV Azteca Cinema were made available in Spain and Portugal through Masmedia TV, an IPTV solution for telecommunications companies, which offers TV channels distributed in different packages.
