TV Azteca adds its ‘Clic’ channel to DirecTV GO in Mexico

The OTT DirecTV GO added TV Azteca’s ‘Clic’ channel to its catalog this last June 29th. With the announcement, the platform, recently launched in Mexico, already offers the entire pay TV portfolio of the channel, since, from the date of its launch, it already had ‘Mundo’, ‘Corazon’ and ‘Cinema’ channels available. In addition, the OTT includes the FTA TV channel ‘and40’, also belonging to TV Azteca, which was also recently launched on Roku and Amazon Prime Video in Mexico.

‘We are very happy and excited about this partnership, and we welcome DirecTV GO as part of the large family of TV Azteca Internacional. I am sure that we will gradually add more linear and VOD content into this offer, which, undoubtedly, sets another great precedent in the Mexican entertainment industry’, said Jorge Gutierrez, International Sales Director at TV Azteca.

Patricia Jasin, VP TV Azteca International & TV Azteca Pay TV Networks, also expressed herself about the agreement with the DirecTV platform: ‘At TV Azteca we are always trying to be at the forefront of TV and available on all platforms with our great content offer and the best information. This is one more step for TV Azteca towards the future of distribution’, said the executive.

DirecTV GO was officially launched in Mexico last March, with plans including live TV and on-demand content. The platform’s offering includes about 80 live channels, as well as HBO and Fox Premium premium packages.
