The company Turner Chile confirmed that it will broadcast Lima 2019 Pan American Games, which will take place from July 26th to August 11th. The event can be watched throughout Chile on Chilevision, CNN Chile and Chilean Football Channel (CDF)’s screens. Movistar TV will also broadcast the sports event on pay TV through its exclusive channel ‘Lima 2019’, on channels 19 (SD) and 719 (HD).
Marco Antonio Cumsille, Sports Executive Producer in Turner Chile, expressed himself on the special features developed to the event’s broadcast, and said that ‘we will have and ultra HD equipment, with mobiles brought from Europe. The idea is to put these games at the Olympic Games level, but in America, with Chileans competing to achieve medals’. There will also be two teams installed in Lima to follow the competing Chilean athletes.
‘For the Olympic Committee and the Team Chile it is great news that Turner broadcast the Pan American Games live. It is the best way to spread the effort and achievements of our athletes, so we are happy and very grateful that they have made this decision’, said Miguel Angel Mujica, Chilean Olympic Committee’s President. Lima 2019 Pan American Games will be inaugurated next July 26th, in a ceremony that will take place at the National Stadium. The event will bring together 6,680 athletes from 41 countries across the Americas.
Roman Guasch, Turner’s Sr Director and Business Development, will be one of the speakers that will take part of the ‘OTT and the new mobile entertainment business’ panel in the Nextv Series Argentina event, organized by Dataxis. Gustavo Castro, Content Manager of Movistar, will also be present on it. The event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, in Buenos Aires, on May 14th and 15th.
