Totalplay increases its pay TV customer base by 54% and ends 2020 with more than 1.6 million subscribers

As part of its Q4 2020 results presentation, Mexican pay TV operator Totalplay (Grupo Salinas) reported to have ended the year with just over 1.6 million subscribers on its TV customer base, which experienced a 54% growth during the year. (

On the other hand, the company reported that the number of FTTH HPs increased by 18% during the year, and ended at 10.5 million in December 2020. The company had ended 2019 with 8.9 million FTTH HPs, with which, during 2020, there was an increase of 1.6 million homes with the operator’s FTTH technology.

In addition to its pay TV offer, other areas that have also shown growth during 2020 were Totaplay’s internet and telephony offers. As reported by the company on its report, its internet offer reported more than 2.4 million customers and showed a  65% growth, while the area with the highest growth was telephony, with 2.3 million customers and a 73% increase on its subscriber base during the year.
