Social network TikTok, focused on short videos content, has officially announced last week its decision to extend the duration of its videos to 3 minutes in length, thus giving content creators more time to record their videos. Currently, the maximum duration of content on the social network is 60 seconds.
‘Over the coming weeks, we will be rolling out the option to create longer videos to everyone on TikTok, giving our global community the flexibility to film, upload, and edit videos up to three minutes in length directly within TikTok. Once ready, users will get a notification that longer videos are now part of the creative toolbox’, they have officially reported on the issue.
In Latin America, TikTok has been running several agreements in order to expand its content portfolio. One of the most recent was announced with the Infinity Esports club in July 2020, which became the first esports team in the region to announce such an agreement. This year, TikTok announced football deals in Brazil: it broadcast a Copa do Nordeste match; and partnered with WarnerMedia Latin America to broadcast friendly matches between European national teams live through the TNT Sports profile on the social network.
