Tigo Sports to broadcast Costa Rican National Team’s matches in the Concacaf Nations League outside the country

Football matches played by the Costa Rican National Team outside that country during the Concacaf Nations League will be broadcast by Tigo Sports, which has acquired those events broadcasting rights.

‘We have always intended to broadcast our National Team matches. It is a priority for us, but for a rights issue we could not. Now it is possible to broadcast football matches played outside Costa Rica, a first step we achieved when we are celebrating one year operating in the country’, said Kristian Mora, Sports Director at Tigo Sports.

Broadcasts will begin next October 10th, when Costa Rica faces Haiti, at the Sylvio Cator Stadium in Port-au-Prince (Haiti). After that, on October 13th, the Costa Rican National Team will play against Curaçao. In the Costa Rican National Championship, Tigo Sports owns the TV broadcasting rights of  several teams, including Asociación Deportiva San Carlos, Guadalupe FC, Santos de Guapiles, Club de Futbol Universidad de Costa Rica and Jicaral Sercoba. Tigo Sports also broadcast matches of the Promotion League and added women’s football matches to their programming grid.
