Tigo One TV platform, which combines linear TV with VOD, announced the integration of the HBO app in Costa Rica. The service also includes access to Crackle, Fox and YouTube.
The new HBO app allows unlimited access to more than 2,000 exclusive titles of the network, of which 70% correspond to movies and the rest to series. To access the content, the client must be subscribed to the HBO MAX Premium package.
Tigo One TV first launched in the Colombian market and in April this year it arrived in Costa Rica. “With Tigo One TV we are committed to constantly revolutionizing the way we watch television. With this objective and a short time after the launch of the service, we incorporated the HBO application that allows our customers, subscribed to the platform, to enjoy the latest series, films, documentaries and much more,” commented Leandro Lagos, Residential Services Director of Tigo Costa Rica.
The platform offers personalized recommendations and uses the TiVo platform, which allows users to record the content on a hard drive. In the Elite and DVR versions, it has an intelligent recording system with 500 Gigabytes capacity, which allows it to store up to 75 hours of HD content or up to 505 hours in SD, which can be viewed from any screen.
Nina Muyshondt, Home Business Director Latam at Millicom, will participate as speaker in the next edition of NextV CEO Latin America, the leading conference to be held on November 1 & 2 in Miami. There, the executive will talk about the experience and deployment of Tigo One TV in the region.
