Since its inception in 2014, Starz Play keeps growing and has reached 1 million subscribers in UAE. It has secured USD 125 million in three rounds of funding, from Starz/Lionsgate (40%), State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) (40%), and SEQ Investors, Delta Partners and founders/management (20%). Starz Play has tie-ups with global studios including MGM, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Warner Bros, Universal and Fox International Channels.

Starz Play is now available in 20 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, with more than 10,000 hours of content including films, exclusive series, Bollywood movies as well as Arabic series.
