StarTV strengthens its offer with new channels and a new OTT aggregator

Mexican DTH StarTV announced last week the launch of a new offer for its subscribers, which will be available starting this Thursday, October 1st. As of that date, the DTH will add SD and HD channels and its new OTT ‘Cosmic Video’, among other new contents.

‘StarTV is renewing itself, goes HD, we add more channels and keep the same prices (from MX$ 179 / USD 8). In addition, all our clients will be able to record TV programs and pause live content at no extra cost’, reported Bruno Pruneda, General Manager at DTH, in relation to the new offer.

According to the specialized website TAVI Latam, the new HD channels will be Las Estrellas HD; Azteca Uno HD; Canal Cinco HD; Azteca Siete HD and Multimedios HD. Also, as reported by StarTV, the channels in SD format will be Morbido TV, focused on horror movies; Love Nature, with content about nature; AzClick, with an entertainment catalog for children’s audiences; Teleritmo (Multimedios) and Agrotendencia. In addition, StarTV adds 25 new audio and music channels from Stingray, which can be accessed by subscribers from their cell phones and tablets.

StarTV is also launching a new mobile app for its customers to request technical service and know their account status, among other items, and ‘Cosmic Video’, a new OTT integrator, which already has HBO GO, Fox Play, Fox Sports Play, Hot GO, Paramount + and Noggin available.
