StarTV adds HotGo to its DTH platform in Mexico

The Mexican DTH StarTV announced it is adding the OTT HotGO in Mexico, which adds to the offer of linear channels and OTTs already available on its platform.

Bruno Pruneda, General Director at StarTV, welcomed HotGO and thanked the Playboy Latam management team, made up of Esteban Borras and Valeria Ortigoza, for the trust and synergy achieved since the beginning of the DTH operations, and explained that ‘any StarTV subscriber will be able to access HotGo from MX$ 50 (USD 2.5) if they have the Playboy linear channels package (HotPack) hired. We will also have the Universo Pro linear package available, which already includes the HotGo platform ”.

The incorporation of HotGo adds to the StarTV effort to make OTT offers available. In June 2019, the platform added HBO GO to its content catalog, available to subscribers of the Universo package, which also includes access to Fox Play, and in the HBO on-demand offer. StarTV has also added Claro Sports to its offer of linear channels. In addition, as the company officially reported, it is available in more than 81% of Mexico and has more than 210 thousand linear and internet clients.
