Mexican telecommunications company izzi (Televisa) officially announced this last Tuesday, August 31st, that it will add Star+, The Walt Disney Company’s new SVOD OTT, launched yesterday in the region, to its entertainment options for its customers. The platform joins Disney+, available to the company’s company customers since it was officially launched in the region, in November 2020.
According to the information that was officially reported, izzi customers will be able to access the Star+ catalog, which includes series, movie premieres, Latin American productions, all sports on ESPN, and others, for a MX$ 199 (USD 10) monthly subscription. In addition, those izzi clients who wish to hire Star+ bundled with Disney+ may also do so, through the so-called ‘Combo+’, for MX $ 249 (USD12) per month. Those who choose to subscribe to this offer through izzi will have an initial two months free period to access both catalogs. Also, from August 31st, it is possible to add Star+ to the Unlimited plans with Disney+ for MX$ 49 (USD 2.5) per month, for a one-year period.
‘With this new action as part of its offer, izzi strengthens its commitment to provide high-quality entertainment and consolidates itself as the only company that adds the most attractive platforms in the market, thus managing to offer its subscribers everything they want to watch, in a single place’, they reported from the company.
