Sky launches premium offer for Campeonato Cearense’s matches in Brazil

Livemode, Brazilian company that holds the Campeonato Cearense’s rights -football league that takes place in the state of Ceara (Fortaleza, Brazil) – has announced on Tuesday, March 9th, an agreement with the Brazilian pay TV operator Sky (AT&T) to market the competition under the PPV model. The information was reported by the specialized website UOL.

According to the information available on the website, the new offer will be marketed together with the premium package that brings together Copa do Nordeste matches, launched by Sky last January. Campeonato Cearens’s matches will be available at no additional cost on the same PPV channels that the Copa do Nordeste matches are broadcast on Sky. According to what is reported on the Brazilian pay TV operator’s website, the Copa do Nordeste package is already being sold to its customers for a R$ 23.90 (USD 4) monthly subscription, or a single payment valued at R$ 59 .90 (USD 10.5) for all matches in the competition. In addition, once subscribed to the Sky offer, the operator also allows access to the Cearense’s matches through the NordesteFC platform. In addition, the Copa do Nordeste is broadcast in Brazil through SBT, who will share the rights to broadcast the UEFA Champions League in Brazil together with WarnerMedia until 2024.

In addition to having an agreement run  with Sky, UOL also reported that Livemode intends for the Campeonato Cearense to be broadcast via FTA TV in Ceara. The website reported that the Brazilian company is holding negotiations with TV Jangadeiro, based in Fortaleza, Ceara, although no agreement has been reached yet.
