Sky adds five Globo affiliated TV channels in Brazil

Brazilian pay TV operator Sky (AT&T) added this Wednesday, June 3rd, five new affiliated channels of the FTA TV channel Globo to its programming grid. All of them belong to the RBS TV Group (Red Brasil Sur de Television), and are available for both postpaid and prepaid customers, in SD and HD quality.

The new channels already available on Sky are RBS TV Pelotas, RBS TV Santa Cruz, RBS TV Passo Fundo, RBS TV Caxias do Sul and RBS TV Santa Maria, all from Rio Grande do Sul. The news is part of the strategy that the DTH has been developing for years, which consists of adding Globo affiliates throughout Brazil.

‘By adding these new channels into our programming grid, viewers will have the opportunity to access much more journalism and entertainment with better image and sound quality, and with local content that our client values’, said Andre Ribeiro, Postpaid Product Director at Sky.
