Roku and Amazon Fire TV integrate access to OTT of Turkish series Kanal D Drama

Kanal D Drama, the THEMA America’s OTT specialized in Turkish drama, reached an agreement with Roku and Amazon Fire TV to integrate a shortcut to the application in their devices in Latin America. According to the American media Variety, it will also soon be incorporated into the interface of Samsung’s smart TVs in the region.

In September 2021, the platform announced its launch in the United States, Spain and Latin America, and stated that it would have more than 4 thousand hours of content dubbed in Spanish, available only for Apple and Android mobile devices. A month later, the service officially arrived in Mexico, at a monthly value of USD 3.80, with the promise that it would soon reach Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung televisions.

Now, the company that belongs to the Kanal D International of France, finally sealed two of the three agreements to expand the arrival of the OTT to the users of the region. During the launch of the platform, Patrick Rivet, CEO of THEMA America, explained that the decision to enter the Latin American market is due to the “excellent relationship that we have built all these years in the region, where we already have millions of followers”.
