Pluto TV Latin America, ViacomCBS’s AVOD OTT, recently launched in the region, announced six new channels available on its web version, Apple TV, Android TV and mobile device apps for download in iOS and Android in 17 Latin American countries -except from Brazil, where Pluto TV will be launched at the end of the year-.
New channels were added to existing categories ‘Entretenimiento’ and ‘Estilo de vida’, as well as a new category dedicated for binge-watchers called ‘Maratones’. Pluto TV US has already proven success with their single series channels, that include just one title to binge-watch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is now expanding to Latin America with its own “Maratones” category with ‘Minuto Para Ganar’, ‘MasterChef’, and ‘Degrassi’.
Up to now, Pluto TV Latin America has 30 curated channels available, and continues to add new channels on a monthly basis for the next months, to reach more than 70 channels at end of year. In addition, Pluto TV Latin America has already confirmed partnerships with more than 70 major media and content providers -some of them available here-, building a rich and 12 thousand content library for Spanish-speaking audiences. New channels available on Pluto TV Latin America from now on are ‘Pluto TV Futbol para Fans’, focused on iconic iconic football stars and best moments for viewers favorite teams around the world; ‘Pluto TV Hogar’, which offers content and information to help viewers to make the most out of their homes; ‘Pluto TV Teen’, with content for teenage viewers; ‘Degrassi Channel’, focused on the series ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’; ‘Minuto para Ganar’, which allows the audience to watch contestants as they compete in one-minute challenges with increasing levels of difficulty for a chance to win up to USD 100 thousand; and ‘MasterChef’, aimed at showing the competitive cooking reality.
Pluto TV has also recently added movies, with titles like ‘Buena Vista Social Club’; ‘Bachelorette’; ‘Our Idiot Brother’; ‘The Spanish Prisoner’; ‘Hellraiser’ and action movies like ‘Aeon Flux’ and ‘Nick Of Time’. The AVOD OTT has also included new entertainment shows, including series such as ‘I Dream of Jeannie’; ‘Bewitched’; ‘Who’s the Boss’; ‘Freaks & Geeks’; ‘Misfits’ and classic shows from MTV, like ‘16 & Pregnant’ and ‘Punk’d’. Crime programs are also available on Pluto TV with newly added episodes of ‘The FBI Files’; ‘Forensic Files’ and ‘The New Detectives’, which will now be found on the Pluto TV Investiga channel while ‘Cocinisima’ and ‘Cocineros al Volante’ are now available on the Pluto TV Cocina channel. Kids are also able to find their favorite episodes of ‘The Wild Thornberry’s’ and ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’ on the Nick Clasico channel.
