Pay TV channel Band leads the Brazilian audience with broadcast of Formula 1

Band, the Brazilian pay TV channel, registered a new audience record thanks to the broadcast of the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix. Last Sunday, November 14, for 33 minutes, the motorsport competition held the largest number of public, and in total it registered an average of 6.9 rating points, 15.3% share and a maximum peak of 8 points.

According to the data released by Kantar Ibope, the daily average of the band on that date was the highest of all the Formula 1 races of 2021, with a result of 2.7 points. While regarding the afternoon band, the signal broke a record of 3.9 points that had not been reached since 2014.

On the other hand, the channel also generated high numbers of participation and engagement with the audience through social media. For example, on Twitter, the hashtag #F1naBand made it to the Top 5 for trends in Brazil, while globally it ranked 17th.
