Paramount+ launches in Mexico on August 8th through Claro Video

Viacom International Media Networks Americas (VIMNA) announced that its OTT Paramount+ will arrive at Mexico next August 8th through Claro Video. The platform was recently launched in Latin America, where it is already available through the Brazilian operator Net, apart from other international markets such as Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

Subscribers from Claro Video will be able to hire Paramount+ for a USD 4 monthly subscription, which can be paid on their Telcel, Telmex / Telnor invoices or credit cards, and they can also enjoy the platform’s content for free during the first seven days.  

‘We are happy to announce the arrival of Paramount+ and its vast content offer for the whole family at Mexico, which comes exclusively with Claro Video. We are sure that this partnership will allow us to expand our Mexican market scale and significantly deploy Paramount+ reachment with thousand of Claro Video clients in the country’, said Laura Perez, Affiliate Sale and Content Distribution VP at VIMNA. From Claro Video they also expressed themselves on the OTT’s arrival at Mexico through Alberto Islas, its General Director, who said that Paramount+ ‘joins itself to our content offer, complementing the wide entertainment catalog developed by Claro Video to its Mexican subscribers. These service’s attractive titles will now be available by hiring them in a very simple way to watch them on our platform, where we are sure that consumers will have a great experience’.

 The OTT’s multi-content offer includes the third season of the The handmaid’s Tale series (the first two will also be available), apart from a catalog with more than 2,000 episodes and 150 multi genres films. Some of the most relevant contents are episodes from MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel programs such as Acapulco Shore, Jersey Shore and Are You The One? in its Latin American, Brazilian and United Kingdom’s versions, Just Tattoo Of Us, Latin American stand-up comedy episodes and more. Animated programs, live action series and Latin American Nickelodeon shows like SpongeBob, The Ninja Turtles, The Magic Grandfathers, Hey Arnold, I am Frankie, and others, are also included.
