Oi has almost 3 million FTTH homes in 2019

In its Q2 2019 results report, the Brazilian company Oi recorded 2.8 million homes passed with FTTH in 68 municipalities in Brazil. This way, coverage increased by 381% compared to Q2 2018. Oi’s strategic plan expects to reach 4.6 million homes passed by the end of 2019 and 16 million in 2021.

Oi reported 291 thousand homes with access to fiber, 711% more than Q2 2018, when the number went up to 36 thousand.

The company also recorded 1,584,000 pay TV subscribers in the country and, according to the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) -Brazilian regulator-, it concentrated 9.48% of the total market in June. The company had a 1.6% pay TV growth compared to Q2 2018, when it had 1,557,000 subscribers.
