On its second virtual edition, the two discussion panels that will open the event’s agenda of day 2 will focus on OTT aggregation in pay TV and the Android TV revolution that is taking place in South America. They will meet around a series of strategy panels to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities surrounding the generation, distribution and commercialization of TV content to audiences that are demanding ever more sophisticated ways to access their favorite live and on-demand programming. The main topics to be discussed and developed will focus on operators and revenue-sharing models availability; integration of third-party apps on new and legacy STBs; multi-screen support and integrated content discovery; Android and RDK options; and other related issues.
‘The Android revolution’, the second panel of the day, will take place between 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM (ART), and will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of Android TV, which is gaining more and more followers around the world as the platform of choice for pay TV operators seeking to bring advanced OTT TV and video services to their subscribers. The discussion will be about full OTT and hybrid Android TV; Android TV and its differences with RDK; OTT aggregation on Android TV; addressable advertising on Android TV STBs, and other issues.
