Nextv Series South America strengthens itself as the industry’s leading conference on its second virtual edition

Dataxis will be holding tomorrow the first day of Nextv Series South America, a leading conference scheduled to start at 9:00 AM (ART). On its second virtual edition, the two discussion panels that will open the event’s agenda will focus on strategies adopted by pay TV operators in their OTT transformation process; and home 2.0 connectivity. As an expanded version of the prestigious Nextv Argentina event, Nextv Series South America will bring together in a friendly virtual format the leading pay TV operators, TV networks, FTA broadcasters, OTT platforms, content owners, telcos and ISPs from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. They will meet around a series of strategy panels to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities surrounding the generation, distribution and commercialization of TV content to audiences that are demanding ever more sophisticated ways to access their favorite live and on-demand programming. On its day 1, the first Nextv Series South America’s panel will be called ‘The pay TV transformation towards OTT’, and will gather executives from Mirada; Montecable (Uruguay); El Cuatro TV GO Net (Argentina); Telviso (Argentina) and EZDRM. Its main discussion topics will focus on hybrid cable, DTH and full OTT models; limits to be applied to the OTT supermarket; if pay TV is still profitable and mandatory; aggregation of new services, such as gaming, audiobooks and digital subscriptions; and other related issues.   

The ultra-connectivity of home 2.0’, the second panel of day 1, will take place between 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM (ART), and will gather executives from Grupo Express (Argentina); Cotas (Bolivia); CommScope and Gigared (Argentina). Main topics to be debated will focus on whole-home Wi-Fi development; the video device dilemma -streamers, media gateways or STB-less-; voice assistants, home security and new opportunities for ARPU growth; the role of 5G in the new home connectivity; and others.
