Brazilian operator Net (América Móvil) has launched two packages with 4K UHD content. With this new initiative, Net’s programming in this technology reached 290 titles. In addition, the company announced new solutions to expand the Wi-Fi network in the home.
4K packages are available in Mix HD and Top HD versions, with prices starting at R$ 119.99 (USD 32), as well as access to the NOW VOD platform through remote control and the Replay TV feature, which allows users to catch up on content they missed and Replay the current TV show from its beginning.
In addition, the operator has launched a set of solutions that extend the reach of the Internet signal within homes. These are Wi-Fi Plus, Wi-Fi Plus 360º and Ponto Ultra.
Wi-Fi Plus is a Wi-Fi router with a better performance, since it works in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. In practice, the connection can be up to five times faster, said the company in a release. It is available for customers who subscribe to speeds up to 120 Mbps.
WI-FI Plus 360º has MESH technology, which uses connection points scattered around the environment, forming a kind of powerful fabric, capable of covering wider spaces. It is available in association with TP-LINK, manufacturer of the DECO M5 model.
‘Ponto Ultra’ is a solution via Ethernet cable for those seeking greater connection stability and lower latency. These are new fixed Internet points installed by the operator that can be used for video games, smart TVs and computers.
