As part of this deal, Etv will broadcast more than 65 games during the 2019-2020 NBA season on the channel and on its OpenView platform.
The NBA basketball league has a rights agreement in South Africa with the broadcaster, e.tv.The rights issue marks the first time since the 1990s that the NBA is broadcast on free television in South Africa when public broadcaster SABC broadcasts NBA magazine Inside Stuff.
The cover will begin with Etv’s broadcast of the San Antonio Spurs’ live match with the Boston Celtics on November 9th. A retransmission of this match will be broadcast at 17:00 on Sunday.
