NBA, AFA, TV NSports and Accedo to discuss on OTT deployments for leagues and federations during the coming Nextv Sport Latin America’s virtual edition

The second panel that will take place during day 2 of the coming Nextv Sport Latin America’s virtual edition is titled ‘OTT deployments for leagues and federations’, and will take place on Wednesday, May 5th between 10:10 AM (CDMX) and 11:00 AM (CDMX). Registration, both for this one and for the rest of the panels of the conference organized by Dataxis can be done here.

Some of the key topics to be discussed and developed during the panel will focus on league OTTs as alternative international rights distribution; ‘league pass’ models and special features for OTTs; multi team strategies from leagues and federations; OTT sponsorship models; and other related issues. Industry executives especially gathered by Dataxis to star in the panel are Raul Zarraga, VP & General Manager Mexico at NBA; Guilherme Figueiredo, Founder and Managing Director at TV NSports; Jose Somolinos, Innovation Strategist at Accedo; and Leandro Petersen, Commercial and Marketing Manager at AFA.

Following the success of its first virtual edition in 2020, Nextv Sport Latin America 2021 will bring together the top executives making live sports broadcasting happen in a region that is home to some of the world’s most passionate fans. Recent changes in sports broadcasting consumption trends, which have been accelerated by the Covid pandemic, have forced rights owners, leagues, teams, TV networks and sports streaming services to reassess their short, medium and long-term strategy. The event will be sponsored by Accedo, Kaltura, Nunchee, WSC Sports, Bitmovin and Ross, and will take place on Tuesday, May 4th and Wednesday, May 5th, starting at 9:00 AM (CDMX) both days.

Registration for the Nextv Sport Latin America’s virtual edition is free for Latin American pay TV operators; FTA broadcasters; sports TV channels, OTT platforms, leagues, teams and associations, and telecom operators.
