MVNO Promobile starts operations in Senegal

Mobile Virtual Network Operator Promobile has officially started its operations in Senegal with the indicative 75. The operator is a sister company of Sirius Telecom SA controlled by Senegalese businessman Mbackiyou Faye.

The new operator will help cut telecom tariffs and ameliorate the service quality. It is supported by the network of the mobile operator Free. According to Mbackiyou Faye, the introduction of Promobile aligns with the specifications imposed by the Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority.

Faye stated, “We are soon launching on the market attractive services at competitive rates.” 

In addition to the sale of SIM cards as well as mobile voice and data bundles, the company is planning to provide a fixed telephony service and set up a call center to offer high-quality customer service.

Promobile wants to invest in Mobile Money as well. The company is planning to roll out the Procash service for this purpose, which will enable various electronic transactions including money transfer and e-payment.
