The Total 2019 African Cup of Nations starts in Egypt this Friday, and DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to enjoy the coverage in HD on SuperSport, with expert analyses and commentary both in English and Pidgin.

All 52 matches of the competition will be accessible to DStv subscribers on Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, and Family packages, while selected matches will be available to DStv Access subscribers. On GOtv, the 52 matches will be accessible to subscribers on GOtv MAX and GOtv Plus packages.

The Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, commented, “Pidgin is a popular language form across the sub-region; we received good reviews when we introduced commentary in Pidgin English during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.  I am proud to announce that we will bring it back as part of the commentary for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.”

Subscribers will have the opportunity to switch between languages by pressing the Options button on their remote controls, scroll down to Language and use the Right Arrow button to choose different language tracks to get the commentary in Pidgin.

The AFCON transmission will feature magazine programs like Journey to Egypt which will focus on how countries like Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa amongst others are performing during the competition. Furthermore, Hello Africa is another morning program which will give viewers the opportunity to have a look at the tourist attractions and hospitality options available in Egypt during this African soccer celebration.
