MTN South Africa will unveil its 5G network this week and become the first of the telecommunication group’s 22 operations to introduce the next-generation broadband technology.
The company will host a live event on its YouTube channel on the 30th June which will be hosted by the CEO Godfrey Motsa, the Chief Consumer Officer Mapula Bodibe and the Chief Technology & Information Officer Giovanni Chiarelli.
On the other hand, Vodacom South Africa launched its 5G network in May with limited coverage at the moment.
Vodacom launched its 5G network in May in three cities, with further rollouts planned in other parts of the country. Rain also launched the country’s first commercial 5G network in collaboration with China’s Huawei Technologies in 2019.
