Telecommunications company Movistar (Telefonica) has launched new mobile plans in Chile with the Netflix membership included. The initiative is added to the one already launched by Movistar Chile in September 2020, when it launched its ‘Digital Pack’ for its FTTH clients with the Netflix subscription included, in addition to also allowing its clients to pay the OTT subscription through the monthly bill.
According to the information reported, Movistar Chile has launched two mobile plans with Netflix membership. The first one features 55 GB, and is valued at CH$ 16,990 (USD 24) per month. The Netflix membership included in the offer is the ‘Standard’ one, which allows clients to watch the OTT titles on up to two screens at the same time. In addition, a thousand minutes for telephony calls are included; apart from the possibility of sharing GBs to a telephone line; 100 SMS; free access to social networks and the possibility of accessing the Movistar Play catalog for free under the ‘Light’ version, which includes eight Chilean TV channels and 10 thousand VOD titles.
The second mobile plan with Netflix included features 85 GB, and is valued at CH$ 19,990 (USD 28) during the first 12 months, and then it will cost CH$ 21,990 (USD 30). Like the previous plan, the option to access Netflix is the ‘Standard’ subscription, which allows access to its contents on up to two screens simultaneously. Free access to Movistar Play Light and social networks is also included, although in the 85 GB plan, in addition to free minutes to make phone calls and 100 SMS, the possibility of sharing GBs on two lines is included.
