Movistar +, the OTT of the mobile service operator, integrated Prime Video to its platform in Spain. Until now, the telecommunications company only offered a free three-month subscription period for the Amazon streaming app, a promotion also available in all its subsidiaries in Latin America.
From now on, Movistar’s subscribers will be able to access all OTT content from their UHD device, from the same STB catalogue and search engine. As announced by the company, the incorporation was launched progressively, and will finish deploying in the country by November 24. In this way, it would be the first region to integrate the service to Movistar +, although there is still no information regarding what will happen to the platform in Latin America.
After this incorporation, the platform further expanded its library of OTTs, in which it already had proposals such as Netflix, Disney +, ATRESplayer Premium, Mitele and the sports broadcasting applications, LaLigaSports TV and DAZN.
