Telecommunications company Movistar Argentina (Telefonica) is adding the Deezer platform, focused on musical content, to its content offering. As reported on various specialized websites, the company’s clients will be able to access a catalog of around 73 million songs, as well as playlists and podcasts.
Movistar is launching an exclusive offer for customers who have a postpaid plan, which consists of access to Deezer Premium for the first 30 days for free, and then pay a monthly subscription valued at AR$ 137.50 (USD 1.5) through the company invoice. Through the Premium subscription, Movistar Argentina’s customers will be able to access songs without advertising; play content without the need for an internet connection; access personalized music recommendations, and other features.
‘This new partnership will allow us to offer Movistar Argentina’s customers an alternative and simple method to access Deezer Premium. They will be able to listen to all their favorite music and podcasts, discover new albums and enjoy selected playlists, with a special focus on Argentine music, Spanish rock, pop and other genres’, said Marcos Swarowsky, Regional Managing Director South America at Deezer.
Hernan La Rosa, Manager of Mobile Connectivity and Products and Services Development at Movistar Argentina, has also expressed himself on the new partnership with Deezer: ‘We are very proud to continue adding value and bringing new contents for our clients, so that they can continue enjoying differential services and live the best experience in integrated communications in the market’, reported the executive.
Apart from Deezer, Movistar Argentina has recently added Starzplay, as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video as partners to strengthen its content offering. In the case of Deezer, other available features include access to original and selected content from any of the countries in which Deezer is operating; as well as searching for songs by entering part of their lyrics in the search bar; and identify songs using the ‘Songcatcher’ feature, to add it directly to the list of favorite songs and playlists of each user.
