Chilean holding company MegaMedia has announced this last Thursday it has renewed its partnership agreement with Globo, so that the Chilean channel can continue broadcasting productions from the Brazilian Globo, after some websites have reported that the agreement had come to an end. As reported by several websites, the agreement has been extended for two years.
‘We are very proud that Globo once again gave us the confidence to have its titles, which feature the highest production, acting and script standards. They know that MegaMedia takes care of their products and will give them the corresponding enhancement’, said Juan Ignacio Vicente, Director of Content and International Business at MegaMedia. ‘This renewal confirms Mega’s commitment to show on its screen the best content offered by the audiovisual market to please the entire audience’, they added from the company.
The news about the end of the agreement between MegaMedia and Globo had been reported by the specialized website Fotech.cl, quoting Mega’s sources who assured that the companies will not renew the partnership agreement that they had available for almost four years.
Currently, Mega only keeps the Brazilian soap opera ‘Insensato Corazon on the screen. Other Globo’s productions that have been seen on MegaMedia as a product of the agreement between the two companies include ‘Orgullo y pasion’; ‘Totalmente diva’; ‘El otro lado del paraiso’; ‘Querer sin limites’ and ‘Justicia’.
