Megacable will expand its FTTH network and double its reach with a national presence

Megacable announced that during the next few years it will begin an expansion plan through the extension of its FTTH network in Mexico, in order to expand its service offering for both the mass and corporate public. According to the company, the project will guarantee a national presence and will double its audience.

To achieve this goal, the Mexican operator explained that it plans to build between 8 and 9 million new homes, which will be added to the 9.29 million homes reported for the third quarter of 2021. In this way, it could even exceed twice its current coverage.

In the same document, Megacable revealed that by the end of Q3 2021, it had reached 3.52 million subscribers in its pay TV service, while Internet subscribers reached 3.75 million and telephone subscribers 2.93 millions. But for the next few years, the company says it will double the figures, in addition to EBITDA, which it also expects to double by 2026.
