Mexican holding company Megacable announced that, as of June 29th, those subscribers who have hired the HBO premium channels pack or are HBO GO users will be able to access HBO Max for free. WarnerMedia’s (AT&T) SVOD OTT was officially launched yesterday in Latin America, this way starting its international expansion process after being officially launched in the US, last year.
“With this partnership, Megacable strengthens its content catalog and grows to provide the best entertainment experience to our subscribers, and those who already have HBO hired with us will be able to enjoy HBO Max included in the current price of their premium subscription, accessing with their same username and password’, explained Gerardo Seifert Arriola, CMO at Megacable.
Some of HBO Max’s top titles include classics like ‘Friends’; ‘The Big Bang Theory’; ‘The Sopranos’; ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Sex and the City’, as well as other original productions from HBO, Warner Bros, the DC Universe, Cartoon Network and other WarnerMedia brands, as well as Max Originals, designed exclusively for the platform. Another of the great news of HBO Max includes Warner Bros films 35 days after their release in theaters in Mexico and Latin America at no additional cost, as well as franchises such as ‘Matrix’; ‘Harry Potter’; ‘The Lord of the Rings’, and others.
HBO Max can be hired in a bundle offer with Megacable through the Mexican holding’s website, in its call centers or by telephone. Mexican cities where the platform can be hired are Toluca, Queretaro, Colima, Morelia, Ciudad Obregon, Guaymas, Durango, Hermosillo, Zihuatanejo, Nogales, Culiacan, San Miguel Allende, Salamanca, Guanajuato, San Jose del Cabo, Torreon, La Paz, Mazatlan, Tepic, Ciudad de Mexico Norte, Tenancingo, Guadalajara, Leon, Los Mochis, San Luis Rio Colorado, Puebla, Tehuacan, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Zapala, Zacatecas, Guasave and Veracruz.
