Megacable announces new FTTH migration plan

Megacable announced it will make a USD 400 million investment in a new FTTH infrastructure construction project with GPON technology. Enrique Yamuni, CEO at Megacable, explained that the network will be deployed in the main cities where the Group is operating.

‘The project includes the migration of subscribers with HFC technology service to the new network, and that the HFC structure is only implemented in other covered cities, to continue supporting the growth of the group’, said Yamuni.

Yamuni also said that this plan will allow the Megacable network to evolve towards the latest technological infrastructure and will boost the company’s broadband capacity growth in all regions.
