Mega and Mega Plus unify their newscasts under the Meganoticias brand

Mega Plus, a new pay-TV channel owned by Chilean holding company Megamedia and launched earlier this year, premiered three new newscasts under the Meganoticias brand. The announcement is part of a project that aims to unify the company’s newscasts under a single name.

The first step of this renovation process began this Monday, when Mega Plus premiered its new central newscast, which is now called Meganoticias Plus Prime. Soon, the pay TV channel will incorporate others  under the same brand into its programming grid, which will be called Meganoticias Plus Morning, Meganoticias Plus Doble Click and Meganoticias Plus Up-Date. There will also be a new space, whose name was not defined until now.

New newscasts will join to Mundo Plus Vanguardia, Mundo Plus Hoy and the Radio Infinita TV spaces (Quien lo diria and Que hay de nuevo), in addition to those already available in Mega Plus. The newscasts of Mega’s FTA TV channel will also change their names to Meganoticias Amanece, Meganoticias Conecta, Meganoticias Actualiza and Meganoticias Prime.

Patricio Hernandez, CEO at Mega Media, will be one of the speakers that will participate on the next Nextv CEO Latin America event, which will take place next November 5th and 6th at the Biltmore Hotel, in Coral Gables, Miami, organized by Dataxis.
