MBC Group has announced a new entertainment agreement with Facebook to develop content for Facebook Watch by offering viewers access to over 20,000 videos based on popular shows in the region.
The one-year agreement will see MBC Group sharing the content across its Facebook pages from MBC 1 to Shahid which will involve previews, behind-the-scenes cuts, and MBC’s premium and exclusive shows such as The Voice, The Voice Kids, Beauty Match, Sabah Al Kheir Ya Arab, Family Feud and other Arabic TV series.
“We have witnessed a shift in how audiences consume content over recent years; it is no longer TV in defined settings, but a whole host of content options consumed via various devices anytime and anywhere. There’s phenomenal value in partnering with Facebook because our joint campaigns can bring even more to our viewers, as well as expand on our reach and frequency. Every month, Facebook Watch has over one billion visitors and for the first month only, MBC Group contributed to more than 5M watch hours.
