Imagen Televisión’s news channel on YouTube surpasses one million subscribers

Mexican free-to-air channel Imagen Televisión announced that its YouTube news channel has exceeded 1 million subscribers, becoming the first news media in Mexico to reach that number. The company received the Gold Play Button that the video platform gives to the most successful channels.
The channel includes on demand news content, as well as complete news shows. According to the company, “the TV News Channel recorded sustained month-to-month increases since last year, not only in subscribers, but also in views.”
Among the available contents are the news shows of Francisco Zea, Yuriria Sierra and Ciro Gómez Leyva, and videos of “¡Qué importa!,” one of the TV shows with the most “watch-time” in the Imagen Televisión network.
In turn, the network also highlighted that the fanpage of Imagen Television on Facebook already recorded 1.8 million “likes” and more than 100 million views of the channel’s products.
