iflix inks MoU with Audio-visual Commission to bolster Saudi media production

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Audio-visual Media (GCAM) has contracted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with iflix Middle East and North Africa Company to bolster Saudi media production.

The collaboration “will develop Saudi talents by helping the company find local producers, directors, actors and writers in the field of audio-visual media,” declared the authority’s statement.
It also sights to support the talented by developing, promoting and distributing their works through the iflix entertainment service.

The partnership was signed by the GCAM Director General of Media Sector Development, Jassim Alharoon, and the Director of Operations at iflix, Mark Allan Burt.

To recall, iflix is a subscription video on demand service focused on emerging markets. Its global headquarters are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
