Heineken launched the new OTT Heineken TV, which provides real-time upgrades during matches played in the UEFA Champions League , broadcast on Facebook. The offer is available throughout Brazil since last April 13th, as part of an agreement between the Dutch beer company and the football competition.
The streaming platform, created by the marketing agency Publicis, was developed as part of a three-year rights agreement between Facebook and the Interactive Sports media agency, to broadcast Uefa Champions League’s matches on the social network for the first time in Brazil. Heineken TV provides information in real time before, during and after the competition’s matches, and will send an alert to users inviting them to watch the matches live on Facebook.

In 2018, Facebook has acquired the TV rights to show 32 live matches for the next three years in Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, including the whole European Champions League and the European Super Cup.
