Got Talent arrives at Uruguayan FTA TV through Canal 10

Uruguayan FTA TV channel Canal 10 announced days ago that it will start working on the development of a local Got Talent’s version, format that it acquired in March this year after coming to terms with Fremantle, which has the format licenses for NBC. The channel informed that the TV program will be leaded by Uruguayan actress and singer Natalia Oreiro, and its launching date is not confirmed yet, but it is scheduled for next year.

According to what Canal 10 officially reported, Got Talent’s remake in Uruguay will be called ‘Got Talent Uruguay’ and, from October this year, the channel will start developing all castings throughout the country with different auditions. Canal 10 also explained that the inscriptions to take part of Got Talent will soon be opened on its website.

With this acquisition, Uruguay joins the more than 70 countries in which Got Talent has been remade. The format was born in the US in 2006, named as ‘America’s Got Talent’, created by producer Simon Cowell.
