Google would launch new ‘Chromecast with Google TV’

According to several specialized websites, Google is about to launch a new device with integrated Android TV and remote control. The device, codenamed ‘Sabrina’, would be called ‘Chromecast with Google TV’, and could be officially announced on September 30th.

According to the information reported by the specialized website Pocket-lint, Google will announce the official launch of the device at an event and, while many websites report its price at USD 60, others place it at USD 50. The website also reported that the new Chromecast with Google TV will be able to connect to TVs through an HDMI input, and will be powered by Amlogic S905X2 hardware.

The device will also include a remote control that, according to Pocket-lint, has already passed through various regulatory entities, and will include a button to make voice commands through Google Assistant. The website also reported that buttons (to directly access) YouTube and Netflix from the remote control will also be included. The new Chromecast with Google TV would also allow apps to be installed from Google Play, although the website reports that these are rumors. Recently, several websites have reported images of the new remote control.

Although up to now Google has not officially expressed itself about the new product, it is expected to announce it on September 30th, when it will hold an event to launch its new line of smartphones.
