Brazilian operator Globo finally launched its Globoplay streaming platform in Portugal. According to the company, the expansion was a response to the big request it received from the region for the service to start operating in the country.

Last month, the company confirmed the arrival of the app to more than 20 countries in Europe, along with Canada, by October 14 of this year. From now on, after the premiere is official, new Portuguese subscribers will be able to enjoy a wide catalogue of series and films and seven linear signals, where they will have the same offer that the platform has in Brazil, except for some small limitations.

“We are very happy to expand Globoplay’s borders to new territories”, Raphael Corrêa Netto, Globo’s Director of International Business, announced. “Globo streaming offers subscribers a universe of possibilities through movies, soap operas, original series and many other incredible products present on the platform“, he added.
