BBC Studios announced an agreement that grants Brazilian Globo Group the Doctor Who exclusive rights, the oldest BBC global franchise, together with a large number of other content, to be broadcast throughout Brazil. The agreement includes the British science fiction series 1-11 seasons and 12th exclusive rights for pay TV and SVOD format, and other major BBC Studios titles, all to be accessed through the Globoplay OTT platform.
Apart from Doctor Who, Globo Group has also licensed the original BBC Studios drama Luther; MotherFather Son, series starred by Richard Gere; Press, by acclaimed Doctor Foster writer; Pure starred by new talent Charly Clive; The Last Post, by acclaimed Peter Moffat, and several documentaries and factual content.
