Flow extends its content offering with Glowstar Media

Flow, SVOD OTT platform owned by the Argentine pay TV operator Cablevision (Telecom Argentina), has officially announced this last Thursday, December 17th, a partnership agreement with the international distribution company Glowstar Media, with the aim of adding new content initiatives to its platform and improving its entertainment offer it provides to its customers.

As officially reported by the company, through the agreement with Glowstar Media, Flixxo’s executive commercial representative, Flow is adding the exclusive premiere of ‘Cine en la vida real’ and ‘ALT ESC’, two micro series that will be available to be watched on demand on Flow, from any device.

Cine en la vida real’ is an eight-episode micro series that lasts 12 minutes each, presented by influencer and youtuber Nicolas Amelio-Ortiz. The series is now available on Flow. ‘Nicolas and his team tour and show the most famous locations of cinema. In this first season, they will visit the flagship locations of unforgettable scenes from the most iconic films that have been recorded in Los Angeles, such as ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Back to the Future’, ‘Forrest Gump’ and many others’, they reported in relation to the plot of the series. ‘Cine en la vida real’ was produced by Flixxo and ZEPfilms.

On the other hand, ‘ALT ESC’ is a new science fiction micro series, which is focused on how humanity is increasingly connected to different screens. During the series, a group of people are taken to a ‘devirtualization’ center. There, hackers, gamers and selfies will try to escape by all possible ways. The series is starred by Argentine youtuber Dai Hernandez, and was produced by Flixxo, ZEPfilms, Plam and Aeroplano. The series will be available to be accessed on demand on Flow from January 2021.

‘This new content is added into the different entertainment initiatives available on Flow, such as live TV and on demand content of series, movies, documentaries, gaming and music. In addition, the new series will be available to all Cablevision customers, through Channel 1 of Cablevision HD, or also through the Flow App, which can be downloaded for free on any device, by accessing with the Cablevisión user information’ , they reported from Cablevision Flow.

As part of its Q3 2020 quarterly results report presentation , Telecom Argentina reported a total of 3.6 million pay TV subscribers (offered through the Cablevision pay TV operator), and 1,170 million Flow Boxes distributed. The number of Flow STBs made an increase of 92 thousand in relation to the 1,078 thousand that had been distributed at the end of Q2 2020, and 297 thousand more regarding the 873 thousand Flow STBs that had been distributed at the end of Q3 2019. Likewise, the pay TV customer base remained similar to the customers recorded in Q2 2020.
